Case study I (SIX SIGMA METRICS AT A SHARED FINANCIAL SERVICES PROVIDER)

Due to large - scale migrations and non-standardized practices there was a very high level of rework and the division had one of the lowest customer satisfaction (CSAT) scores.

The need was to identify and implement the best practices across regions and define standard performance metrics across regions.

We used Quality Function Deployment (QFD) to develop Six Sigma Metrics, which helped identify gaps in effectiveness from the customer’s point of view and benchmark against best practices within the company.

This led to: complete alignment of the people and processes with stakeholder expectations, timely identification of potential exposure and better controls, and generated a healthy competition amongst units for quality improvement.

Quick implementation of improvements during the project saved Rs. 2 crore and opportunities worth Rs. 4 crore were identified.
