ECS opens Chennai office

ECS, a consultancy in which Eicher group and US-based Strategic Decisions Group have equal stakes, on Wednesday opened as office in Chennai. This is the consultancy’s fourth Indian office.

In a press conference, the Chief Executive, Mr. Ravi Bhamidipati, identified Chennai’s manufacturing sector as one could provide business opportunities.

He added that ECS would also look at the city’s fast growing service sector for opportunities. ECS generates most of its business from challenges in the manufacturing sector’s business processes.

Mr.Bhamidipati said currently consultancy assignments that focused on strategic management were a growing area. The company managed to double in size over the last three years, a lackluster period of the industry, and its officials.

ECS, which was originally called Eicher Consultancy Service, has offices in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore.

ECS sees rise in strategic consulting business

ECS Ltd, the management consulting firm which is a joint venture between the Eicher Group and the US-based Strategic Decisions Group (SDG) is witnessing high growth in its strategic consulting business. The company offers consultancy services in the areas of strategic management, operations management, supply chain, full-value spend and banking and financial services. Addressing media persons here on Wednesday, Ravi Bhamidipati, CEO, ECS Ltd said that the company’s strategic consulting business currently contributed to 25% of its revenue. “While our operations management business contributes the maximum (35%) to our revenue, we are seeing the highest growth in the strategic consulting area”.
